So - what did Shirley & Sharon think when they first laid eyes on this month's CLUB Scrappit?
Shirley - I was thrilled to see that the November CLUB Scrappit was Christmas orientated because it meant I was able to make an inroad on those Christmas cards & gifts that we all tend to leave until the last minute to finish (or even make a start on - *grin*) Too often Christmas packs arrive that little bit too late (ie. in December) and you just don't have the time to get creative with them for gifts because you are so wrapped up in the other festive activities going on at that time.
Sharon - A Christmas pack is a great place to start making those little gifts for distant relatives – especially those you only see at Christmas! When I first got this pack my immediate thoughts were of some lovely chipboard packs I picked up while at Paperific and of course a chance to make a dent in our families huge Christmas cards list! I absolutely loved the fact that the papers were double sided to give me a wider choice of patterns to play with too!
So - now that you've heard their thoughts on the pack . . . let's see what they created with it!

SHIRLEY's TIP: I loved the effect of using the 'Present' brads as flower centres and by adding a little bling to each of the petals, it added some wonderful dimension as well

SHARON's TIP: Every year I love to take a special photo of my two girls to include with a Christmas card to our distant relatives. Having this set of photos also makes a great place to start the Christmas scrapping projects. To create this page I simply used torn strips of paper layered over a patterned paper base. I also added a cute little scalloped border on one of the edges, created by taking the guard off of my corner cutter and using it to create the individual scallops.

SHIRLEY's TIP: I couldn't resist getting out my needle & thread for this page and adding some detail to the pre-printed Christmas baubles. Once I'd outlined them all and added a little decorative strip at the top & bottom of the focus bauble, I added some gold Kindy Glitz so that the baubles complimented the title as well!

SHARON's TIP: When I saw this at the Paperific expo I wasn’t sure what I’d do with it but I love the effect of the countdown. I chose to coat everything with different patterned papers before adding kindy glitz to the chipboard swirls and words.

SHIRLEY's TIP: The rubons included in the CLUB Scrappit this month are just perfect for greeting cards and what better card is there to receive than one you have handcrafted yourself! Oh and I couldn't resist adding a little gold hand-stitching on these as well!

SHARON's TIP: I found this little kit as I was entering Paperific on the second day and I couldn’t resist getting it. I chose to alter the kit and to make the design more of my own by breaking the wall hanging up into 2 flip frames. I decorated the one side with the supplied chipboard embellishment and have glued paper mats on the other side ready to attach family Santa shots once they have been taken. I love making things like these for relatives – especially grandma’s and Nanna’s.

SHIRLEY's TIP: By cutting my ribbon into word sections - in this case 'Ho Ho Ho' - I found they were the perfect width for these cute little gift cards!

SHIRLEY's TIP: Don't be afraid to use the chipboard words in the raw state at times too - I loved that the 'Jingle Bells' was the perfect compliment to the tonings of these pattern papers without needing to add a thing to it! I also decided to apply the rubon quote to a section of the 'sand' cardstock and then cut it up into strips to make an eye-catching quote in the bottom right corner!

SHIRLEY's TIP: If you are a subscriber to the Scrappit Newsletter you will have already seen this project that I did for the weekly Design Team challenge. I simply created 12 pages that were the size I wanted (to fit the wooden front & back covers I had) in Word and then inserted a calender. Once I'd printed it, I then added a scanned & printed copy of one of my favourite scrapbooking pages I've done of our two boys! Such a simple but very personalised gift this would make too!

SHARON'S TIP: I read recently that what we desire the most for Christmas changes dramatically as we get older, changing from materialistic preferences to more spiritual ones. I decided to capture my own feeling about what I want for Christmas this year and am dying to get the chance to sit with both my girls and get them to scrap what they want as well so I can watch the progression of how they change over the years from now on.
Maybe you’d like to have a go at this yourself with your children, or maybe you’d like to have a go at creating your own style of Christmas page using the sketch this one is based on!!

SHIRLEY's TIP: Like Sharon, I too grabbed one of these countdown calendars at Paperific and couldn't wait to use the CLUB Scrappit papers to decorate it. I've also added lots of gold & crystal Kindy Glitz as well to really give it that Christmassy touch! The boys just can't wait to start using it!

SHARON's TIP: I love Christmas bears and always look forward to getting one each year. To scrap this years bear I chose to write about that big issue all parents eventually face – belief and how that has held up within my youngest daughter Sarah!!
Would you like to make this page?
Step 1 : Trim the waste edge from the patterned paper. Measure and cut a box from the red distress patterned paper that is approximately 6 ¼ by 8 ¼ inches.
Step 2 : Next, measure and cut out a square from the gold glittery paper that measure 6 by 8 inches and another square from the red distressed paper that measures 5 ¼ by 7 ¼ inches. Assemble these pieces to make a triple matt for a 5 by 7 inch photo.
Step 3 : Attach the triple photo matt to the page, ensuring it is adhered offset from the centre.
Step 4 : Cut 2 strips of white card, approximately 2 by 5 inches and adhere to the top right corner and the bottom left corner. Decorate with some of the paper flowers in layers. Add the title to the edges of the photo matt – I chose to place mine at the top and bottom in this offset manner to help balance the page.
Step 5 : Finally, I added gold diamantes to the centres of some of the snowflakes on the background paper.

SHIRLEY's TIP: I just love all the bling in this month's CLUB Scrappit and what better way to feature it than to emphasise the scrolls & blossoms on this page. To compliment their 'silvery' look I added silver Kindy Glitz to the title as well. I must admit I was quite surprised how littl Kindy Glitz you need to add to give a lovely shimmery feel to a page or embellishment!

SHARON's TIP: One of the things I love about Christmas is all the beautiful cards that are given. I don’t always get a chance to make my own which is why I loved this kit so much. The rub-ons in the kit provided quick and easy titles and the patterned paper scraps made quick and easy decorative elements!
