SHARON's TIP: Try cutting up a pretty patterned paper into blocks to attach, it gives visual appeal without losing any of the pattern.
Why not try my sketch of the above page!

SHIRLEY's TIP: Before you matt your photos, decide if you can use any of the cardstock or pattern paper that won't get seen - for example, I have punched some white flowers from the white background pattern paper BEFORE adhering my photo matt in place - not that you can tell by just looking at the page! I also chose to adhere my diecut titles onto some thick cardboard, which I then cut to size & sanded - the result? Instant chipboard shapes!

SHARON's TIP: I wanted the photo to be my major focus of this page and chose to minimise my title to a journaling block. Because my journaling is private I also chose to sew around 3 sides of the photo block to make a pocket and hide my journaling within it.

SHIRLEY's TIP: Ribbons become a beautiful way to decorate the spiral bindings of various albums - just tie short lengths of various colours & styles of ribbons into knots on each of the spirals for a wonderfully unique & colourful finishing touch! Oh and the 'Recipes' chipboard piece was created with a little piece of pattern paper adhered to come thick cardboard, cut to size, sanded & inked with some letter stickers added at the end! Simple but adds some wonderful dimension to the front cover!

SHARON's TIP: From time to time we all end up somewhere without a camera, in my case for both of these they were just not allowed in!! Try picking up whatever souvenirs or pamphlets are available and use them to scrap the memory. Make sure to add plenty of journaling to tell the story of why this event was so special to you. For Miss Saigon I even chose to use our tickets as the title so I could include them!

SHIRLEY's TIP: Whilst the floral pattern paper was the perfect compliment to this 'Pixie Photo' I had taken several years ago; using too much of it would have simply detracted from the photo itself - hence my decision to cut out only a few sections of it to use as accents on my page!

SHARON'S TIP: My daughter finally wanting to get rid of her favourite toy as a baby was a big milestone in our house – it only took 11 and a half years!! Don’t forget that these are also important events to scrap, take a photo and tell the story for future generations to share.

SHIRLEY's TIP: Don't overlook packaging to make the perfect gift box with a little creative decorating. My husband received a new wallet for Father's Day and rather than throwing the sturdy box away that it came in, I have simply cut pieces of pattern paper to size and added some braid, corner charms, blssoms & letters to decorate it to make the perfect little gift box!

SHARON's TIP: Whenever I get a pack like the club Scrappit pack there are always invariably tonnes of scraps! I decided to cut the smaller bits up to make little rectangles which I then pieced together to make this background – Even the photo matt is made up of scraps!!

SHIRLEY's TIP: Once again, I decided to use an empty box I had saved for this project. I've made a simple & quick photo cube that can sit on my scrapping desk by simply cutting cardstock & pattern papers to size and adhering together before adhering each section to the box surface. A little ribbon, hand sewing, punched circles and metal photo corners were all that was used to decorate each of the cube faces!

SHARON's TIP: Using up the rest of my scraps I made these cards – the colours were perfect for masculine Father's Day cards too!
