Let's start with some inspiration from the Gorgeous range!

SHIRLEY's TIP: When you go to adhere pattern paper flowers you have hand-cut out, try using some 3-dimensional foam (ie. Magic Mount) behind some of the petals, whilst sticking others flat onto your background. By doing this, you will create more visual dimension on your page!

SHARON's TIP: Try cutting away some of a patterned paper to create a lace effect on your page.

SHIRLEY's TIP: Sometimes, all you need of a striking & bold pattern paper is just a strip of it. Notice how I have just added a strip of the black floral paper along the bottom of my page, but it compliments the bold title perfectly!

SHARON's TIP: Papers with the alphabet don't have to be used only for making titles - they also make very effective backgrounds

SHIRLEY's TIP: Many bold pattern papers are just perfect for making personalised gift bags! Once I had cut out and assembled my bag, I simply added a little left-over ribbon and bead trim to this one!

SHARON'S TIP: This is actually an artists model but I thought it would be a wonderful ornament for my scrap room after some decoration.

Now let's take a look at some inspiration from the Divine range!

SHARON's TIP: I like the idea of filling up my backgound with journalling but I don't write in terribly straight lines - my solution was to not even try!! Instead I drew in wavy lines to journal along and simply filled in blank spaces with doodles.

SHIRLEY's TIP: Inticate floral designs cut from pattern paper can look stunning but sticking them down can be a pain! I usually work out the placement of my hand-cut piece and stick one flower in place. Then I work my way slowly along the length of the floral design, sticking one section at a time. Doing it this way, ensures that the design is placed exactly where you want it to be AND that you don't end up with glue in places you don't want it!

SHARON's TIP: Use up paper scraps to decorate your background, for mine I had fairly large blocks of scrap paper left over from another page that I was able to use to enhance this page.

SHIRLEY's TIP: To add a decorative finish to altered spiral notebooks or albums, tie short lengths of complimentary ribbon in knots along the metal binding!

SHIRLEY's TIP: I decided the pre-printed tags would be perfect labels for cute 'Pillow Bags' . . . I just cut out my shape from one of the pattern papers; then scored, decorated, folded and glued it together! So simple, but very effective! This one is filled with yummy Raspberry Licorice!

When one door of happiness closes, another opens - but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

And last (but certainly not least), here is some inspiration using the Adorable range!

SHARON's TIP: when cutting out elements of patterned paper to border a large photo, try cutting the same shape into the photo to enhance the feel of a border.

Created by Shirley Fyfe
SHIRLEY's TIP: Cut the border strips apart to create individual and unique borders that can be used much like you would use ribbon on your projects. You'll see on my 'Us' album, I've also added a little blue ribbon along the length of the paper border strip for a little added visual interest!

SHARON's TIP: For a different look try wrapping the title around the side of a photo. This gives the effect of a unique photo corner while providing an eye catching title that draws your eye back to the photo.

SHIRLEY's TIP: Why not try turning some of the circle alphas or words into tags by simply adding an eyelet like I have done on my Matchbook Album! I've also added a little 'Magic Mount' (3-Dimensional Foam Tape) to the 'Cute' tag which results in it visually 'popping' over the top of the 'Girl' tag rather than it all appearing to be flat.

SHARON's TIP: When stuck for a title try thinking of the lyrics from a favourite song - this page was inspired by the lyrics of a song written by Mika.

SHARON's TIP: When faced with a heavy floral paper try cutting out some of the flowers and using them to make a trail across the page.
