SHIRLEY's TIP: To create some visual depth to your page, adhere only some of the flowers you cut out from the patten paper flat on your page. With the others, cut them out and adhere them to some chipboard before cutting them out once again and attaching them to your page. If you don't have any chipboard, try attaching them to a piece of cardstock (for added strength) and use 3D mounting foam or pop dots to attach them to your page - it will create the same kind of look as the chipboard!

SHARON's TIP: Try cutting patterned papers into geometric shapes and then patching them together. Its a great way to use up some scraps and can look really effective. Why not try my sketch of this page for a little added inspiration?

SHIRLEY's TIP: Try covering your Bazzill flowers in another piece of coloured Bazzill so that the flower compliments the project you are working on. Similarly, try painting the small flowers and adding some rubons to the centres - by layering the two together, you'll create your own unique accents!

SHARON's TIP: To compliment the scallop edges of the pattern paper, why not try rounding the corners of not only your photo BUT also any other pattern papers you incorporate into the design!

SHIRLEY's TIP: Incorporate a little hand-stitched scrolls near your flowers for a little visual interest AND extend their design impact on the rest of your page.

SHARON'S TIP: Why not try making three (or more) photos look like one by rounding the corners of the outside two photos and lining the photos up together! If you like the design of this page, why not try my sketch of it below?

SHARON's TIP: I love patterned papers but often feel overwhelmed when faced with an overly floral design. To simplify this I chose to cut out my favourite parts and use them to embellish my page.

SHARON's TIP: Try using etra components of a kit in a different way. For example here I chose to use the leftover chipboard stars as embellishements while the long strips of rub on pattern was cut into circle shapes with my shape cutter and added to emphasize the circle theme.

SHIRLEY's TIP: Pieces of pattern paper adhered to chipboard and cut out (whilst not an easy task sometimes) can look very effective as stand-along embellishments such as those that I made for this baby gift basket which hang from lengths of pink ribbon!

SHARON's TIP: Try using the theme from your photo's to connect them to the patterned papers. Here I chose the large polka dot paper to tie in with the egg theme and then carried this theme over onto the title. Here's another sketch for you to try too!

SHIRLEY's TIP: Sometimes 'empty' space on a page (such as the left hand side of this page) provides the perfect overall balance when you have created a focal point such as my rubon framed photo & flower collection on the right. Trying to add too much in that 'empty' space would have detracted from the overall photo and therefore the focus of the whole page. Also, why not try cutting out sections of the scalloped pattern paper to use as decorative corners - simple but quite effective!

SHARON's TIP: When using double sided papers its great to fold over a section to add some extra pattern to your page. As an added advantage the patterns are always colour co-ordinated to match perfectly!

SHARON's TIP: Tucking elements in behind other elements and having others layered over the top creates the illusion of depth on your page!
