Don't feel like you have to use the Heidi Swapp bling in the set shapes they come in. In the above page, Shirley has cut the green rectangles of bling into corners & strips and surrounded the outside of her photos with bling! The large 8x10 photo was firstly matted with the green cardstock before adhering to the black cardstock and the smaller 6x4 photo being added. Some green & pink blossoms & brads and a simple rubon word complete this simple but stunning page!

Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Sharon decided to use bling lines to outline the edge of her photo as a decorative corner but also because the lines of bling help to draw your eye accross to the title and down to the journalling. Don't you just love the scalloped border that Sharon added around the outside of the whole page as well - it ties in so perfectly!

Shirley has used the clear acrylic teardrops to add a little dimension and interest to her simple punched flowers. The larger photo was firstly matted with a little of the yellow cardstock before being matted on a larger pink photo mat. Shirley handstitched a border on the pink photo mat as well and added a range of punched flowers and handcut scrolls made from using one of the Chatterbox doodling templates. The 'Girls' part of the title was handcut from the yellow cardstock and the rest of the title with black letter stickers. So cute!

Creative Tip: To fill in a blank area where you don't want to journal try ading in a mask then colouring in the blank area's of the mask with water colour paints or water colour markers. Notice how Sharon has added some bling to highlight her leaves too!

Creative Tip: Never let the packaging from products go to waste if you can see another use for it! Shirley has made this gorgeous mini album box which houses a mini accordian album from the Bling Ring Box! A word sticker, blue acrylic teardrops, a white mini brad and some hand embroidery and viola! The most perfect of little gifts to treasure! Of course if you wanted to you could very easily cover or paint the box before embellishing as well!

Why not try using Sharon's sketch to create your very own scrapbooking page! Using the bling circles as a part of her background, Sharon found that she didn't need to add any further embellishing to her page either!

Don't you love the way Shirley has used the clear arylic teardrops to represent the seeds in her watermelon paper piecing. A little double sided tape on the reverse and she found that they stuck fast - a word of warning though, be very careful if you do go to move them . . . the silver backing of the teardrops comes away very easily!

Here's another sketch created by Sharon for you to use to inspire your scrapbooking! What an effective page this is - notice how the 4 overlapped circles draw your eye throughout the various elements on the page and the use of the blue acrylic teardrops directly links the circles to the photos!

What a gorgoues flower centre the bling ring adds to this handmade card for Mother's Day. Shirley has adhered the yellow bling ring to some green cardstock and once the glue had dried, cut the ring out and adhered it to the centre of her large blossom. She has then combined a range of other green & cream blossoms with brads and hand embroidery to make a card that any mother would dearly treasure.
